Echo Station
A series of online participatory singing performances
International - May 2020
Echo Station asked participants to open their windows and connect to their immediate surroundings. Participants were guided by SLQS and Laura Guarch to spread good vibrations to their local environment through mindfulness and echoing songs that called to interaction, playfulness, reflection and togetherness.
In the context of the Covid-19 pandemic, Convex reflected on new ways to engage audiences into participatory performances that could still invite people to connect to their surroundings. Through newly-written playful songs echoing across the globe, the performance united communities and aimed to reach vulnerable demographics without access to a digital device.
Echo Station raised support for the charity Re-engage, working to combat social isolation and loneliness for older people.
